Prescott’s spring cleanup set to begin Monday, March 28
PRESCOTT – In an effort to help City of Prescott residents properly dispose of large trash items, the city’s Solid Waste Division will be conducting its annual spring cleanup of bulk items, beginning this week.
The pick-up schedule includes:
• Monday routes will be picked up starting 3/28*
• Tuesday routes will be picked up starting 4/4*
• Wednesday routes will be picked up starting 4/11*
• Thursday routes will be picked up starting 4/18*
• Friday routes will be picked up starting 4/25*
*The city is reminding residents that all items must be curbside by 6 a.m. Monday of the designated clean-up week, NOT on the day of your normal pick-up. City crews will move through the neighborhoods associated with each route one time only, with bulk pickup completed by Friday of each week.
Annual Spring Cleanup Rules:
All materials must be bagged, boxed or bundled for collection.
Tree limbs and lumber must be cut to four foot (4’) lengths and tied.
Items must not weigh more than 75 pounds.
Appliances containing, or which have contained, CFC’s (Freon) must be accompanied by a certificate from a licensed professional stating that the CFC’s have been evacuated. Compressors and motors must be removed.
No tires, oil, lead acid type batteries, liquid paint, pesticides or other household hazardous wastes will be collected.
No contractor or demolition debris will be collected.
