Biz spotlight: El Charro Norte
There is a new restaurant in Chino Valley.
El Charro Norte Mexican Steak House, at 2879 Arizona Trail, (formerly Doreen's Bar & Grill), owned by Gary Denny and Amanda Cordova, opened its doors on Feb. 12, 2016.
"We will be serving our regular Mexican food, as well as steak dinners with a choice of a 16-ounce ribeye, New York strip steak,10-ounce ribeye, or top sirloin, served with grilled onions, peppers, and chilis, which includes rice, beans and tortillas," Denny said.
"We will be having weekly specials such as fish fries on Fridays, and happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with $3 draft beer, house lime margaritas, well drinks, and house wines," Cordova said.
El Charro Norte is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The grand opening is scheduled for March 26, and from then on they plan on having music every Saturday evening.
"In April we will also start our delivery service, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., which will include the Paulden and Williamson Valley areas," Cordova said.
"We have done a lot of remodeling to the building, but we still have the horseshoe pits, the volleyball courts and hitching posts for the horses," Denny said smiling.
