Obituary: Kenneth Mark Tanner
Kenneth Mark Tanner, age 64, passed away on June 14, 2016, at his home, dealing with his third round of cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Cindy; his children Valerie and husband Daniel, Simon and wife Vanessa, Jessica and husband Michael, Garret; and his mother Ruth.
Ken was born on July 18, 1951 in Van Nuys, California, to Forrest and Ruth Tanner and worked as an electrician, later installing phone booths, and finally as a house painter for his father until he took over the business and named it K. Tanner Painting. He moved with his wife and family to Prescott, Arizona in 1988, where he established his painting business and enjoyed working with his many customers over the years, and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Prescott until his death in 2016.
He was raised as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and firmly believed in the Bible’s promise of a time in the near future where there would be no more crime, sickness and death (Revelation 21:3,4), and tried to share that hope with anyone he could throughout his life. His family knows that he is now getting the best sleep he has ever had and looks forward to the time when they will get to welcome him back in perfect health to life on a paradise earth. (John 5:28, 29; Psalms 37:10, 11).
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. July 2, 2016 at the Adult Senior Center, 1280 E. Rosser St. in Prescott, Arizona and is open to any who knew him and would like to attend.
Funeral services were entrusted to Wakelin Family Funeral Homes. Please visit www.ruffnerwakelin.com to view and sign Ken’s guestbook.
