Letter: Political letter
Bob Lynne, our own one man local Obama/Hillary cheering section, is at it again! In response to a recent editorial by Buz Williams, Bob writes that the lies and deceptions of the Obama administration pale in comparison to those of both Bush administrations. He bases this on data generated by Politifact, a questionable source at best. Bob goes on to talk about “debunked” Fast and Furious, “debunked” Benghazi, and “debunked” IRS charges. My question to Bob is, debunked by whom? Hillary constantly talks about her 11 hours of testimony before congress as vindication for her actions related to the Benghazi fiasco. Stonewalling is not testimony, even if it lasts for 11 months! The same is true of Lois Lerner repeatedly taking the fifth during her “testimony” as head of the IRS.
One topic left out by this letter was Hillary’s treatment of classified material. I spent over 40 years working in the defense industry. I only had a Secret clearance, but even at that level, I was thoroughly indoctrinated in the procedures of handling classified documents. Mishandling of classified material was the one sure way to get fired. In Hillary’s world, this was nothing more than an “error in judgment,” and nothing to get excited about. What parallel universe does she live in?
Finally, I have to push back on Bob’s statement regarding Bush’s “lies” about weapons of mass destruction. Bob, and many others in the far-left crowd, have repeatedly accused Bush of deliberately lying to draw us into that war. That accusation in pure nonsense. Every western intelligence agency at that time believed those weapons existed. Just ask the Kurds who were gassed in the late ‘80s.
