ACF to honor local philanthropists, nonprofits

The Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County will honor local resident Selmer D. “Sal” Lutey as Philanthropist of the Year at the upcoming Joy of Giving philanthropic awards luncheon on Friday, Aug. 5, at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center.

Sal is a pillar in the Prescott community as well as the state of Arizona. He is a past president of the Yavapai County Bar Association as well as the State Bar of Arizona. He has been a member of the Board of Governors. Sal was one of the founding members of the Arizona State Bar Foundation.

Locally he has been involved with nonprofit boards including Salvation Army Advisory Board and Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters Endowment Foundation. Sal is a past president of the Prescott Rotary Club and a district chair of the Boy Scouts of America Old Capital District. Sal has helped clients fulfil their desires of helping our community through endowments and scholarships. Join ACF of Yavapai County celebrate Selmer D. “Sal” Lutey and the joy he has brought to the Prescott area.

The Joy of Giving philanthropic awards luncheon is open to the public, but space is limited. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $35 per person.
