Obituary: Lynn McKeever

Lynn “Mick” McKeever passed away quietly at Good Samaritan Prescott Village with his family present on July 19, 2016, after living with Parkinson’s and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for 10 years. Mick was born in Detroit, Michigan, on Nov. 5, 1933, to Earl and Grayce McKeever.

He served proudly in the US Air Force during the Korean War. After returning to Detroit, he began his career in drafting eventually retiring from Hubbell,

Roth & Clark in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Mick met his future wife, Barbara (Sanders), while bowling in a company league in Anaheim, California. They were married in California on Feb. 8, 1964.

Mick is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara; sons, Thomas McKeever and Robert McKeever of Prescott; predeceased by his parents, Sister Sharon Brabant and two nephews. He has four nieces in upper Michigan and a nephew in Highland, Michigan.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, July 28, 2016, starting at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church followed by a rosary service at 10:30 and a funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m. Private Interment at the Prescott National Cemetery in the afternoon.
