Obituary: Ian James Sharp
Ian James Sharp, 32, of Chino Valley, Arizona, formerly of Reedsburg, Wisconsin, and Wickliffe, Ohio, was called to his Heavenly Father July 19, 2016.
Ian is the beloved son of and survived by his parents, Matthew and Diane (nee Chukayne) Sharp of Chino Valley, Arizona; Sister, Kathleen Koehler (Ryan) of
Nashville, Tennessee; Brother, Gabriel Sharp of Viroqua, Wisconsin; and Grandmother, Helen Chukayne (nee Wasilko) of Prescott Valley, Arizona. He is preceded in death by Grandparents Frank Chukayne of Euclid, Ohio, and Charles and Marilyn (nee Taggart) Sharp of Wooster, Ohio.
Profoundly handicapped since infancy, Ian’s loving care was the focal point of his family. Despite his inability to speak and incapacity, Ian’s life was transformative for those, who through his presence, learned life-long lessons of service, devotion, tenderness, love, and simple joy. Ian’s constant laughter and joyful innocence filled our home and now fills Heaven.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for July 23 at 1 p.m. at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church in Chino Valley, Arizona, with a reception to follow. Fr. Fred LeClaire will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ian’s beautiful life.
Condolences can be sent to the family at PO Box 568, Chino Valley, AZ 86323.
The family would like to thank the many wonderfully compassionate teachers, therapists and medical staff who supported Ian throughout his life.
