Roy Alan Moore, born Sept. 5, 1931, an Arizona pioneer, rancher, road builder, carpenter, and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 28, 2016.
Roy enjoyed the life he was given, but he truly enjoyed his family. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 63½ years, Kathy; sons Alan (Cindy) Moore of Glendale and their children Shawna and Richard, Mark (Mary) Moore of Congress and their children Michelle, Matthew and Michael, and Jack (Vivian) Moore of Wickenburg and their children Kathleen, Rachael and Jackson. He is also survived by six great grandchildren: Sarah (Michelle and Chris), Brooke and Carter (Mike and Tiffany), Wesley (Richard and Sarah) and Collin and Charlotte Grace (Katie and Cody).
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 180 N. Adams St., Wickenburg, with interment to follow at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Roy’s name be made to Yavapai Cattle Growers Association Scholarship Fund, 4025 N. Forest Rd. 618, Rimrock, AZ 86335 or the Peeples Valley Historical Society, PO Box 966, Yarnell, AZ 85362.
The Wickenburg Funeral Home is handling the arrangement for Roy’s Celebration of Life service and interment.
