Letter: Love the flag

Editor:

I have been a resident of Chino Valley for the last 11 years. I realize we live in an area that gets a lot of wind but I must say, people, have you taken a look at the American flags that fly in our town?

Personally, I am saddened, embarrassed and angered at what I see when I am driving around.

If you own a business or a personal home, stay aware of the condition of your flag. If she is tired, bleached out, tattered or shredded, please show respect to her, your country and your neighbors. Retire her and do it properly!

We have an organization here in Chino that will dispose of her respectfully.

Also, if you have a full sized flagpole please put the correct size flag on the pole!

Let’s include our Arizona State flag in this letter. There is one flying in our town that is actually so wind blown that half of the flag is gone!

I would hate for my family members who have served our country during wartime to see some of the flags that fly here in Chino Valley!

Take a minute and look up, check your flag…if she needs to be retired, do it!
