Head-on collision near Dewey leaves one dead, another critically injured
DEWEY - At about 8:14 a.m. Saturday, a Toyota Tacoma traveling on State Route 169, crossed over the center line into the oncoming lane of traffic and collided head-on with a Ford van.
The driver of the Tacoma died at the scene, according to Arizona Department of Safety (AZDPS) officials. The driver of the van was airlifted to a hospital in the Phoenix area for treatment of critical, but non-life threatening injuries.
An AZDPS trooper happened to be at the scene when the accident occurred, according to an AZDPS news release.
