PRESCOTT - Police arrested a 33-year-old Prescott man after he crawled into bed with a woman Saturday morning, Jan. 9.
Officers responded just after 5 a.m. Saturday to a home on Country Club Drive. The woman who lives there told them she didn't know the man who entered her home and fell asleep in her bed.
Casey Kirkland had allegedly entered the home through an unlocked door, removed his shoes at the door and went upstairs to the woman's bedroom. He reportedly moved the woman's laptop from her bed, took off his pants and got in bed with her.
He was still asleep in the bed when police entered the home and arrested him. He was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on charges of first-degree trespassing.
Police don't know how Kirkland got to the woman's home nor his prior whereabouts. Prescott Police Department spokeswoman Amy Bonney said alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in Kirkland's actions.
