Prescott Valley's signature event "Prescott Valley Days" has been moved to April 21-24, 2016 in the Prescott Valley Entertainment District and at the Prescott Valley Event Center.
"Late summer we were notified that Frazier Shows who produced the carnival was no longer coming into the central Arizona market," states Chamber CEO Marnie Uhl, "as the carnival is the anchor for our Prescott Valley Days celebration we had to look for another carnival to replace Frazier Shows. Due to the lateness of the year we found that all carnivals were booked for the May, June, July and August weekends. We were approached by the Salute to Heroes committee to partner with their event creating even more diverse activities as part of the celebration. Upon meeting with them and 'with the Chamber's board approval April 21-24 worked out to be the best date."
With this new partnership the traditional activities; carnival, parade, entertainment, vendors and beer garden will be enhanced with the addition of a public safety equipment display, car show, food trucks, Indy cars and other activities still being discussed.
In addition, the committee hopes to have greater involvement with the youth, schools and bands as the event is taking place while our local schools are still in session.
The Chamber appreciates the support of the Town of Prescott Valley, the Chamber Board of Directors and the Salute to Heroes committee for overcoming this unfortunate turn of events for PV Days and turning it into an expanded and bigger community party!
