Paulden woman goes mobile for dog grooming
"Anybody who doesn't know what soap tastes like has never washed a dog."

Loving animals has always been part of Michelle White's life.
"My mom said the first word out of my mouth was 'horse,'" White said.
She and husband Russell White moved to Paulden in 1980, where they've raised their two girls, Amanda and Jamie, and of course many animals.
In the 1980s Michelle White said she was injured at her previous job, so she switched careers to become a dog groomer.
"I worked in a dog grooming salon for 20 years before I decided to go mobile," she said.
"In 2008 I purchased my mobile grooming trailer. It's a 22-foot cargo trailer, built to be a mobile grooming unit. It is equipped with a tub, grooming table, dryers, clippers, and crates for dogs waiting to be groomed.
Russell does all the maintenance on my trailer and also helps me groom when I need it," White said.
White said she grooms approximately 45 dogs a week, and some cats, she also prefers the animals have had all their vaccinations.
"My grooming includes bathing, fluff drying, trimming nails, and cleaning ears. We will also brush the animal's teeth for and extra charge. My prices range from $40 and up not including the trip charge. I do have this down to a science, I just park in a neighborhood and my clients come to me.
"I keep very busy because I also do pet sitting for a lot of these dogs.
"I really enjoy this occupation because I love dogs, but I get to know the pet owners and a lot of them have become my very good friends, as have their dogs and I look forward to grooming them each month," she said.
