Obituary: Sandra Brunella Heiden

Sandra Brunella Heiden went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 25, 2016. Since she has been on a feeding tube since 2008, she is having a feast with him right now.

Sandie was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Victor Carl Brunella and Cora Francis Phillips on July 30, 1941. She was a graduate of Bethel High School and Thiel College. She moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania in 1980, where she ran a restaurant, "R House." She worked as an Administrative Assistant to the VP of Operations at Better-Bilt Aluminum until she retired in 1996 to travel the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe.

Sandie was very involved in the community, serving as a board member and officer with the Prescott Valley chamber of Commerce, American Cancer Society Board and was a board member and chair for Central Yavapai Fire District for 16 years. She was a longtime volunteer at Yavapai Regional Medical Center East Campus for many years.

At the time of her death, she was attending Westside Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lester Heiden. She is survived by her sons, Brian Young (Leisa) and two grandchildren, Chloe and Ian of Los Angeles, California and Brad Young (Stephanie) and two grandchildren, Coralyn and Braeden of Houma, Louisiana.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
