Obituary: Keith Adrian Nicely
Keith Adrian Nicely, 64, passed away at home on Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, in Orange, California. He was born June 23, 1952, to Ken and Edith Nicely in Long Beach, California. On June 16, 1978, he married Joleen Metzler in Phoenix, Arizona.
Keith enjoyed wood working, mechanics, sports, and most importantly spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He pioneered a church in Long Beach, California, and pastored a church in La Junta, Colorado before pastoring a thriving church in Guam for 16 years. Upon completion of his pastoral work, Keith continued to share his testimony and love of Jesus with everyone he met. Keith was a man who had a heart for people and his life was devoted to being there for others in any way he could. Along with his passion to minister, his dedication was his family. The love he had for his wife, children and grandchildren was evident to all who met him.
Survivors include his wife Joleen; his daughter Jennifer and husband Adam Porter; and his son Bryan and wife Jennifer; six grandchildren Cole, Miles, Keirsten, Janae, Serena, and Ethan; Step-mother, Betty Nicely; two sisters Diane and Sharron; as well as a niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at The Potter’s House in Orange, California on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10:30 a.m.
