Obituary: Thomas M. Konzem
Thomas M. Konzem, 72, passed away unexpectedly on December 4, 2016 at YRMC West. Konzem was born in Huntington Park, California, was a resident of Prescott, Arizona, and was a former 25-year resident of Oak Glen, California. Thomas was a graduate of Aquinas High School in San Bernardino, California, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California. Thomas was a veteran of the California Highway Patrol, and he retired as a Pharmacy Manager from Kaiser Permanente in 2006. Since moving to Prescott, he was active as a Master Gardner, and worked part-time as a Pharmacist at Walmart.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Josie of Prescott; daughter Sherri (Tom) of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; sons Michael (Trudi) of San Jose, California; Scott (Don) of St. Louis, Missouri; David (Ann) of Riverside, California; seven grandchildren; and beloved service dog, Mel. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle; and his parents, Felix and Albertine.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his name to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or that people simply perform an act of random kindness for a stranger (pay it forward).
