Mountain Artists Guild & Gallery, 228 N. Alarcon St., 928-776-4009, The annual Mountain Artists Guild Scholarship Auction, hosted at Capital Canyon Club, is Friday, Dec. 2. It is our biggest event of the year, and supports the continuing education of Yavapai County visual art students. An evening of fine dining, fine wine and fine art! The Phippen invites kids of all ages to join them Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m., as museum staff guides participants through a holiday art project to create festive cork-horse ornaments. Featuring the work of 30 artists that have exhibited at The Raven over the past 18 months, a wide variety of media will be shown: digital art, photography, oil, mixed media and assemblages. Featured artists include Stephanie Brown, who uses the digital camera to capture the beauty, humor, amazement or telling gesture of the world around us; and Mary Lou Wills, a multi-media artist, known for her exuberant multi-media prints that feature birds and wildlife, among other subjects. Yavapai College Art Gallery, 1100 E. Sheldon St. 928-776-2031, Yavapai College Art Professor Laura Bloomenstein is the featured artist for an exhibition, titled “Infinite Holes,” an enriching exhibition of digital images on the walls and porcelain tea bowls on the pedestals. Bloomenstein’s artwork is inspired by organic objects, structure and space. Continues through Dec. 19.
