Snap Fitness centralizing Prescott location, opening Chino Valley location

The owners of Prescott’s two Snap Fitness locations are closing both to open a single, larger location near Safeway and C-A-L Ranch Stores along Willow Creek Road in Prescott.

Both current locations — one on West Gurley Street and one on Willow Creek Road — were opened by Keith and Kjirsten Conrad eight years ago.

The Conrads say the new location will have more equipment and a studio for group classes. They anticipate opening it Jan. 1 or shortly after.

The West Gurley Street location will close the day before the new location opens and the current Willow Creek location will close a week or two after.

The Conrads are also opening Chino Valley’s first Snap Fitness in mid-January. It will be located at 1938 N. Highway 89 near McDonald’s.

Holistic healthcare facility open house

Turney Healthcare, Weight Loss & Med Spa will be having an open house on Wednesday, Dec. 7, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The business will be offering information and demonstrations on its new products and procedures such as chelation, microdermabrasion, microneedling and PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma).

Food, beverages, raffles and promotions will be provided.

The business is located at 1000 Ainsworth Drive, B100, Prescott and can be reached by calling 928-541-7995.

Zounds Hearing donating to local volunteer

Zounds Hearing will be giving away a free hearing system to a deserving volunteer in the Prescott area.

The volunteer will be selected following a nomination process. Anyone can nominate a volunteer.

All volunteers nominated must be currently serving 15 hours or more per month for non-profit agencies that serve the local senior community.

The recipient does not need to be personally in need of a hearing system. They may gift the prize forward to another deserving person they either serve or know is in need of a hearing system.

Entry forms can be picked up at Zounds Hearing in Prescott at the Frontier Village Center, 1781 E. Highway 69, Suite 65.

Entries must include a brief description of a nominee’s volunteering story. Full contest rules are available at Zounds.

Nominations will be accepted between Dec. 1, 2016 and Jan. 31, 2017.
