World’s Largest Gingerbread Village, Prescott Resort & Conference Center, 1500 Highway 69. Participants from all over the city and state create decorative gingerbread houses. Grand opening at noon Saturday, Nov. 19. Display up through Jan. 2. Other special events: pictures with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26; and cookie decorating Saturdays, Dec. 3, 10 and 17.

Enchanted Christmas Tour of Lights returns to the Gateway Mall, Suite 302 - Nov. 25 through Dec. 30. Enchanted Christmas is an indoor tour of lights. Experience the magic of Christmas in warmth as you journey through 22 different themed rooms adorned with over one-half million lights, complete with a large Department 56 Village Display and model trains by Point of Rocks Model Railroad Club. Please note hours do vary by the day: Tuesday through Thursday, 3 to 8 p.m.; Fridays, 3 to 9 p.m.; Saturdays, noon to 9 p.m.; and Sundays, noon to 6 p.m. Closed Mondays. $4 donation with a canned food or toy for Yavapai Food Bank. Valley of Lights, nightly Nov. 24-Dec. 30 in Fain Park, Prescott Valley.

Wildlights, 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights from Nov. 25 through Dec. 31 at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary. The park will be filled with thousands of lights, festive decorations and music. “Music for a Winter’s Eve” concert, 7 p.m. at Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, 1100 E. Sheldon St. Warm up a cold winter’s night with an evening of audience favorites. Holiday music spanning all traditions will be represented, played by the YC Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra and Concert Band, as well as the Trailblazer and Roughrider Jazz Bands. $8 general admission; $5 faculty and staff; youth 14 and younger free. 928-776-2000.

“A Christmas Carol,” 7:30 p.m. at Prescott Center for the Arts. PCA presents a delightful and faithful rendition of the Dickens classic. Tickets $22; youth $12.

Friday, Dec. 9

Acker Musical Showcase, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in downtown Prescott. Acker Night has become a highlight of Arizona’s Christmas City events. More than 100 musicians performing all around downtown area shops. Acker Night is the primary fundraiser for art and music scholarships for local youth.

Saturday, Dec. 10

“A Cowboy Christmas” concert, 2 p.m. at Prescott Center for the Arts, 208 N. Marina St. Seventh annual Christmas concert with Gail Steiger, Nancy Elliott and Generations. $20. 928-445-3286.

YMCA Nutcracker and Holly Jolly Christmas Dance Recital, 4 p.m. at the Prescott High School Ruth Street Theater, 1050 Ruth St. Prescott YMCA’s dance department presents its winter dance recital, with ballet students performing the classic Nutcracker Ballet and dance students in Holly Jolly Christmas.
