PRESCOTT – Wynonna & The Big Noise will be featured headliners on Friday, Aug. 26 at the Yavapai College Performing Arts Center where the five-time Grammy winner and her band are expected to dazzle the audience with a fresh blend of music rooted in the artist’s unique country ballad style.

This is the performing arts’ center 25th anniversary season, and organizers have selected a bold blend of featured artists intended to appeal to varied audiences with their music, theater, comedy, even acrobatic, feats. Wynonna is at the top of a long list of high profile guests that during the year will include the likes of music legend Art Garfunkel, comedienne Rita Rudner and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. For the 2016-17 season, the center will be offering an eclectic selection of more than 25 shows, as well as a four-show cabaret series. The center will also be offering performances in the Verde Valley.

What can the audience expect from Wynonna?

YCPAC Marketing Specialist Michael Grady predicts a high-energy concert from an artist who is reveling in her most recent tour and album, her first in seven years, and with such exhilaration comes not-to-be-missed entertainment. The concert is scheduled from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

An artist of Wynonna’s caliber needs to be in a setting “where they can do what they love because that’s when they bring their best,” Grady said.

Tickets for the show are $60, $70, $80 and $95 based on seating. All can be purchased in advance at www.ycpac.com or by contacting the box office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at 928-776-2000.
