The Boys and Girls Club of Central Arizona (B&GC) will host the fifth annual Mile High Brewfest from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, on Cortez Street between Gurley and Goodwin streets.
For $25, participants – 21 and older – will receive a souvenir tasting glass and 15 tasting tickets to sample from more than 140 choices of craft beer from 41 different vendors. The focus is on beer, but Prescott Winery will have wine and at least one vendor offers hard cider.
The event will go on – rain or shine – with live music provided by Pick and Holler, Whiskey Kiss, and Trey Odem.
Kristen Kerns, B&GC development director, said she hopes for 1,500 to 2,000 attendees, and to raise $30,000.
All proceeds benefit the club, which provides afterschool and summer programs for youth ages 6-18.
Far from Folsom, 214 S. Montezuma, is the after-party location, and a portion of its proceeds that night will be donated to B&GC.
