Dog wash will help animals in need

United Animal Friends volunteers will be washing dogs Saturday, Aug. 13.

A “Dog Days of Summer” dog wash will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Whiskers Barkery, 225 W. Gurley St. in downtown Prescott.

United Animal Friends (UAF) volunteers will bathe and towel dry dogs for $10, trim nails for $5, or provide “a spa treatment” which includes a blueberry facial, shampoo, conditioning rinse, towel dry and nail trim for $20.

No appointment is necessary. All proceeds benefit UAF programs. For details, call Whiskers Barkery at 928-776-8700.

UAF also will host a Rescue Reunion from 11:30 a.m. To 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Willow Creek picnic ramada next to Prescott Dog Park. Bring your adopted UAF pet; UAF will bring the picnic.
