Obituary: Kevin Knauss

Kevin Knauss, 52, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away April 14, 2016.

Kevin was born Oct. 14, 1963 in Riverside to John Richard Knauss and Wenonah Knauss. His siblings are Mary, Kathy, David and Karen.

Kevin loved being outdoors camping, fishing, hiking, off-roading and dirt bike riding. If it was an outdoor sport, he was all in. He grew up in Simi Valley, where he met his wife Diane Janiszewski. He and Diane married on May 1, 1988 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kevin and Diane moved the family to Prescott in 1995, where Kevin quickly made many friends and joined a softball team and found his love for golf.

He loved life, his family, friends and pets more than words can express. Each and every one of us know how he felt about us. He was one of the kindest souls God put on earth. He will be greatly missed, particularly by his loving wife Diane, only son Danny, his two daughters Kristen and Kimberly whom he adored and the greatest gift his children gave him, his grandchildren, Tyler, David, Carlos, Tristen, Gabriel and Lillian.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Diane Knauss; children, Danny Knauss, Kristen Knauss and Kimberly Knauss; grandchildren, Tyler Knauss, David Knauss, Carlos Verdugo, Tristen Knauss, Gabriel Verdugo, Lillian Wallace, Hailee Wallace, Laurn Boeck and Leah Montoya; great grandchild Saryn Montoya; siblings, May Jansen, Kathy Knauss, David Knauss and Karen Janiszewski; in-law’s, Patricia and Michael Janiszewski; 19 nephews and nieces; and his beloved dog Lily.

Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Heights Church with a reception immediately following. A memorial will take place at Bass Lake at a later date.
