Prescott High School talent show benefits Kids Against Hunger
The Prescott High School National Honor Society (NHS) is proud to present a Talent Showcase from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 29 in the Ruth Street Theater.
Prior NHS talent shows have benefitted organizations including Hope for Haiti, Breast Care Center and Granite Creek Hunger Ministries. This year, NHS has chosen to donate all proceeds from the show to “Kids Against Hunger.” Every two years, the society selects a worthwhile charity to benefit from this formal talent showcase.
This year’s event will feature 15 different performing acts. The tremendous talent displayed will include acts featuring both students and faculty from PHS and range from pianists, dancers, violinist, ukulele, marimba, and guitar and saxophone players along with trumpet duets, vocalists and rapping.
Along with the all of the talented performers, there will also be a silent auction and a raffle. More than 60 local merchants have graciously donated food gift certificates, rounds of golf, oil changes, photo sessions, car detailing, massages, movie tickets and plenty of other goods and services that attendees will be able to bid on.
Make plans now to attend the NHS “Hands Helping Hunger” talent showcase at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29. The Ruth Street Theater is located at 1050 N. Ruth St. in Prescott. Tickets are available in advance at the PHS main office, bookstore or at the box office at 6:15 p.m. on the night of the show. Cash or check only: Adults $7, students and seniors $5 and children under 5 free. “Hands Helping Hunger” T-shirts will be on sale for $10 at the show.
