Letter to the editor: Liberals
Here we go again. Prescott's three favorite liberals (Lynne, White, RN and Bradley) continually wiring to the paper to tell me that if I don't subscribe to the liberal handbook, I must be an old, rich, white, racist Republican. Here are the facts: 1. I am reasonably intelligent so I can gather the facts and get information all by myself. I don't need you telling me over and over that because I don't believe like you, I must be stupid. 2. I'm not racist because I don't support President Obama's policies. Period. I have many people in my life of all different ethnicities and I never have given it a second thought. 3. Rich? Well my bank account is laughing hysterically as I write this. 4. I am white, but I had no control over that and 5. I'm not old yet.
What I do believe in however, is a limited government. I also believe that people should take responsibility for their own actions and their own lives. I know that is a hard thing for you ardent letter writers to accept. But trust me when I say that your letters are more of an annoyance than anything else. Criticizing those with whom you disagree does not further your cause.
I think from now on, I will read the letter writer's name before I read the letter. Then I can go about my day without being insulted.
