Tom Collins to present at Prescott Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Tom Collins, professor emeritus of theatre history will present "Melodramas and Megastars: The Theatre in Territorial Arizona" at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Sept. 27, at Prescott Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 945 Rancho Vista Drive. His program will explore touring theater companies, the stars and the venues in Territorial Arizona from Tombstone to Prescott in the days from 1879 to 1912.
Tom, a history and theatre lover, lives with his wife Wendy in Prescott, where he is a volunteer at the Sharlot Hall Museum and conducts research on Arizona history. He has taught and directed for more than thirty years; and has presented numerous Readers Theater performances from the Pioneer Living History Museum to Riordan Mansion and for the Western History Symposium in Prescott.
