"Bill," as he was known, grew up in San Bernardino, attending local schools through Junior College. He then enrolled in the University of California at Berkeley and earned a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. However, his college career was interrupted when he enlisted in the Air Force and served a three-year term during the Korean War.

Upon his return he resumed his education and entered Law School at U.C.L.A. It was there he met Carolyn Gibson, and she became his wife in 1962. That same year he graduated and passed the California State Bar.

He enjoyed a long career with the San Bernardino District Attorney's office and retired from there in 1985, after which he and his wife moved to Prescott, Arizona in 1990.

Among Bill's many interests were music, literature, history and other subjects, which he studied in classes at Yavapai College. He also loved sports, both as a participant and spectator. His favorites were tennis, swimming, baseball and football.

Bill was very active in Rotary International and was a member, both in San Bernardino and Prescott. When he was forced to resign due to poor health, he received recognition for his 31 years of service to this organization.

His friends remember his keen sense of humor and willingness to share a good laugh as well as his remarkable memory for trivia. He won many games based on this subject.

Bill was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed by all.
