Glennys Charlotte (Schmitz) Croxton, aged 84, passed away peacefully on Sept. 1, 2015, in hospice care at the Marley House in Prescott, Arizona.

Glennys was born in Mason City, Iowa on Nov. 26, 1930, daughter of the late Amerette (Winey) Schmitz and Glenn F. Schmitz. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1949 and was married to Earl F. Croxton. They moved to Prescott in 1962 and enjoyed many happy years living and traveling together throughout the United States. She was retired from Julie Ann's Bakery where she was a mentor to many young women and an artist at cake decorating.

Glennys was a fun loving person who loved crafts, golf and traveling. She lived her final years in Dewey, Arizona. She was a very active resident at The Villages at Lynx Creek, where she made many friends and always enjoyed life to the fullest. Glennys will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.

Glennys is survived by her son, Michael G. Croxton (Miya); two daugthters, Lucinda J. Jasper (Michael), Sara K. Bizzell (Howard); five grandsons, Eli, Forest, Ryan, Ian and Adam; and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Doris Johnson, Jean Stone, Patty Osgood, Joyce Evans, Gale Harrington, Corelee Johnson; and brothers, Kenneth Schmitz, Daryl Schmitz and Forrest Schmitz.

Glennys was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Croxton, who passed in 1996; her parents; her sisters Dorothy Buffington and Phyllis Beaver.

At Glennys' request, no formal memorial service will take place. Her family will have a private service and she will be at rest with her husband in the National Veterans Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Society Prescott Hospice, Marley House, 1063 Ruth St., Prescott, AZ 86301.
