Chino Valley High School hosts MIJTED's Satellite Program in Agribusiness. A part of all MIJTED programs, students take part in a Career and Technical Student Organization. For Agriculture the students join and participate in FFA.
Students put on various community events and fundraisers with their CTSO. They compete at the regional, state, and national level. Chino Valley High School FFA have a yearly tradition of hosting a Corn Dinner. The 65th Annual Corn Dinner will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Del Rio Elementary School gym, 1036 N. Road 1 West at Road 2 North.
Tickets are available at Olsen's Grain, Warren's Hay N More and Chino Rentals and at the district office. General admission is $9 in advance/$10 at the door; seniors (age 56 and up) are $8 in advance/$10 at the door; and for a family (up to five people) the cost is $40 in advance/$45 at the door.
The dinner consists of all-you-can eat corn on the cob, farm-raised BBQ beef, a side dish, a dinner roll and a drink. Karen Madlock, Chino Valley FFA president, states: "This annual event is a great way for the FFA students and community to interact over an amazing meal."
