Betty Jean Templin

Betty Jean Templin, age 74, of Chino Valley, Arizona began her new life in heaven Monday, Sept. 1, 2015. She was born on Jan. 24, 1941, in Milford, Utah to Louise and Richard White.

Betty graduated high school in El Monte, California. She met and married the love of her life Floyd N. Templin in California. Neil and Betty moved to Chino Valley, Arizona in 1970.

She is survived by her three children Ronald Templin of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Ronda Ehlert of Chino Valley, Arizona and Laura Kirk of Chino Valley, Arizona. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Cook of Prescott, Arizona; and her brother Arlon White of Ash Fork, Arizona. Betty's oldest son, Richard Hawkins of Phoenix, Arizona preceded her in death.

Betty's passion was always taking care of her husband and children. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting and crocheting. Betty was an active and charter member of Word of Life Assembly, in Chino Valley, Arizona. She and her husband were instrumental in this new church plant almost 30 years ago. Betty was the head of the prayer chain, hosted bible studies, and was always involved in community outreaches and special events.

A celebration of Betty's life will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at Word of Life Assembly, 590 W. Road 1 North, Chino Valley, Arizona.
