Four generations of my family have attended Prescott Unified School District's schools, and three generations of my family have taught in them, myself included. My family and I have been proud to serve this community by providing an excellent education to the children. Now, we hope that the community will proudly support the schools by voting 'yes' on the bond and override. By voting 'yes', taxpayers will simply continue to pay the same tax rate they have been paying, which on average is about 34 dollars per year. This small amount provides for the basic educational needs of the children in this community. A 'yes' vote means that you agree that the children who grow up in this town deserve to attend school in safe buildings, ride in safe buses, have up-to-date curriculum and equipment and be taught by top-quality teachers.
