Carole Peer Purdue

Carole Peer Purdue, known as Bunny to friends and family, entered eternity the morning of Aug. 24, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. Bunny was born May 29, 1934 to Mary Catherine and Hollis Peer in Duluth, Montana, where she spent a happy childhood.

She graduated from Duluth Central High where she was an accomplished violinist. Bunny moved to Southern California with her husband in 1957. She enjoyed being a homemaker while raising her four children. Later on, Bunny became a bookkeeper for E.K. Williams. After she retired, Bunny moved to Chino Valley to live with her daughter, Holly,

and to be close to her sister, Barbara. In her later years, Bunny enjoyed church, television and getting her magazines every Friday. But most of all, Bunny enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Hays; brothers, Scott Peer and Billy Peer; daughters, Holly Garcia and Pam Miller; son, Grant Miller; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Cathy Mitchell, preceded her in death in 2006.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015 at the Chino Valley Bible Church.
