PRESCOTT - Iva Alebic had 12 kills, Jordan Tilley chipped in with 33 assists and the Yavapai College volleyball team won its fourth straight contest with a 3-0 sweep of visiting Eastern Arizona on Wednesday night.
Yavapai College head coach Zach Shaver said the match was a little bit "awkward" because the Roughriders weren't in sync, but he was happy to see that the players did not get frustrated.
"At the end of each set, we executed," Shaver said. "We didn't get frustrated and the last four-to-five points of each set we put it together."
A three-game sweep over an opponent couldn't get any closer than Wednesday night's contest, with the Roughriders winning 28-26, 26-24 and 25-23 to improve to 20-6 overall this season and 13-2 ACCAC play.
Alebic added eight digs and three block assists to her stat total while Tilley recorded 10 digs. Brooke Donnelly tallied 15 digs and Shelby Mottram had 10 kills and seven block assists against Eastern Arizona [13-15 Overall, 7-9 ACCAC].

Yavapai College, which has won seven of its last eight matches, will celebrate their sophomore's on Friday against the Matadors with a game time set for 7 p.m.
As for the postseason, the Roughriders have earned a first-round bye in the NJCAA Region One tournament and will await the winner of the Wednesday, Nov. 4, match featuring either Central Arizona or Eastern Arizona against Seminole State [Okla.].
