Obituary: Doris DeMino
Doris DeMino went to be with the Lord on Oct. 12, 2015. She was born in Fort Kent, Maine on June 24, 1934, to Willie and Elsie (Laferriere) Pelletier, the youngest of six children.
She was a bookkeeper and accounts payable clerk until she retired and moved to Arizona in 1984.
She is survived by the love of her life, husband, Nicholas (Red) of Prescott Valley; two daughters, Lora Drapeau of Minnesota and Mrs. John (Lily) Bergin of Skull Valley, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Kathy Oczkowski of Springfield, Massachusetts; a stepson John (Liz) DeMino of Chicopee, Massachusetts; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; sister MaryMae Voisine of Bristol, Connecticut; and many nieces and nephews.
She was an active member of the Prescott Valley Christian Church for many years and enjoyed doing volunteer work at church and the community with her husband, and also did missionary work for 10 years, until she came down with cancer. She has been a cancer survivor for 15 years, until it recently returned.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Prescott Valley Christian Church, 7655 E. Long Look, Prescott Valley, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prescott Valley Christian Church.
