World-renowned star of stage and TV Barbara Brighton brings her acclaimed "To Broadway with Love" Holiday Show to Sedona when she performs live, onstage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre. There will be three performances Dec. 4-6, presented by the Sedona International Film Festival.
Barbara Brighton is an accomplished actress as well as a singer-comedienne. Her television stints include "General Hospital," MTV'S "Hard Times of RJ Berger," "The Next Best Thing," "Hart to Hart," "Archie Bunker's Place" and "Superior Court," as well as a number of comedy pilots for the television networks.
In Los Angeles, she produced and hosted her own television talk show, "The Barbara Brighton Show," for three years on cable. The show was an insightful look at celebrities, attorneys, psychologists, journalists, and political figures.
She has been called "Florida's answer to Joan Rivers before surgery" and has re-invented herself as one of the top stand-up comediennes to emerge on the current scene. She's been traveling all over the country as a top tribute artist and look-a-like to the one and only Joan Rivers for many corporate functions and cruises.
Brighton's show for Sedona will feature her performing songs from several top Broadway musicals including "A Chorus Line," "Sunset Boulevard," "Hello Dolly" and "Chicago" along with a mini-tribute to Barbra Streisand, as well as some comedy segments of Joan Rivers. In addition, she will add a few favorite Christmas songs to put us all in the holiday spirit.
There will be three performances of Barbara Brighton's "To Broadway With Love" Holiday Show Dec. 4-6. Showtimes will be 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5; and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Dec. 6. Tickets are $15 general admission and $13 for Film Festival members and students. All tickets include a meet-and-greet with Brighton in the lobby after the show.
