Richard Wedick, age 72, died peacefully Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, after a courageous battle with cancer while in the Palliative Care Unit at the VAMC in Gainesville, Florida.
He was the husband of Gail (Surprenant) Wedick, with whom he shared their 51st wedding anniversary on Sept. 5, 2015. Richard was born April 12, 1943, and was the son of the late John and Florence (Clifford) Wedick.
He is survived by a son, Steven Wedick and his wife Audrey of New Hampton, New Hampshire. Richard has three brothers, Charlie Wedick of Portland Oregon, Frank Wedick of Raleigh, North Carolina and Lawrence Wedick of Nashua, New Hampshire. He also has a sister, Sandra (Laforest) Wedick of Nashua, New Hampshire.
Richard served six years in the USMC, was the owner/director of Tiny Tot Kindergarten and Preschool for 17 years in Nashua, New Hampshire, and owner of Maude's Restaurant in Prescott, Arizona for several years. He also was a black jack dealer in Prescott, Arizona.
