Revival Fire Ministries, Inc., a Cleveland, Tennessee based Church of God, a full Gospel Pentecostal Church, preaching the entire word of God, as it is written, is now in Prescott. Trinity Lutheran Women's Missionary League is sponsoring its eighth annual Holiday Craft Show and Bake Sale on Saturday, Nov. 7. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Trinity Hall in the God's World Building, 3950 N. Valorie Drive in Prescott Valley. The public is invited to come and shop for "Made in the USA" crafts and home-baked goods. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be for sale at lunch. Prescott Valley's Emmanuel Lutheran Church will add a third worship service, this one on Saturday evenings, beginning on Saturday, Nov. 7. The service, which will begin at 5 p.m., will have a different atmosphere than either of the Sunday morning services at Emmanuel, according to Pastor Kirk Anderson. "We invite the community to a casual, reflective service of Word and Sacrament," Anderson said. The service adds another option both for those who want a different worship experience and for those whose schedule prevents attending a Sunday morning service, Anderson added. The service will complement the existing two Sunday worship services: a more traditional 8:15 a.m. worship of Word and Sacrament, and a 10:15 a.m. more contemporary service. Prescott Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 945 Rancho Vista Drive, will present Matthew Phillips, local Development Coordinator for U.S. Vets at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8. U.S. Vets is a non- profit, 501 (C3) national organization, which provides outreach, residential services and job training for veterans, with an emphasis on returning veterans who may be homeless and/or may be suffering from the traumatic effects of their service. Locally, U.S. Vets provides outreach services to some 500 veterans annually, and provides housing assistance to approximately 140 veterans as well. Veterans and their families are invited to worship with Prescott Community Church, 3151 Willow Creek Road, on Sunday, Nov. 15, at either the 9:15 a.m. contemporary service or the 10:30 a.m. traditional service. All veterans in attendance at both worship services will be recognized and thanked with applause, and the many veterans who regularly attend the church will be featured in a special slide show presentation. Worship will include patriotic songs and a Paul Harvey story about the strength and resolve of America's founding fathers, which correlates to those same honorable traits in our veterans. Pastor Dave's message in both worship services on this Veteran's Day Sunday will be "Thank You," from a message series on the Max Lucado book Before Amen. The Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit announces they have moved to a new location. They are now meeting in the fellowship hall at the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Compassionate Friends, a support group for parents who have lost a child at any age or however long ago, meets the second Tuesday of each month at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St. Pastor Carol Mumford leads the group, and any community member who has lost a child may attend. This is just one of the support groups that meets each month at PUMC. Other groups offer support for those with health issues such as breathing problems, cancer, depression and fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue.
