Iron Springs Road crash sends 4 to hospital
PRESCOTT - A head-on crash on Iron Springs Road the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 4 sent four people to the hospital, sheriff's spokesman Dwight D'Evelyn said.
A 22-year-old woman, from Kirkland, was cited for excessive speed and failure to control her vehicle after she cross the centerline on Iron Springs Road about milepost 7.5 while headed toward Skull Valley, D'Evelyn said.
Her car struck a pickup, driven by a 63-year-old man, a Skull Valley resident, he added.
"The truck's driver told deputies the (car) came around a bend and appeared to lose control, crossing the centerline and striking his vehicle," D'Evelyn said.
Both drivers and their passengers were taken to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, with injuries believed to be non life-threatening, he said.
"Deputies noted that snow had been falling and confirmed snow plows recently made two passes in the area before the crash," D'Evelyn said.
