Obituary: Thomas Lee Smith
Thomas Lee Smith, 74, of Prescott, Arizona, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, in Prescott, Arizona. He was born July 11, 1941, in Huntington, Indiana to Nelson Ray and Alma (Shivley) Smith. He married his wife, Elaine, on July 6, 1988, and she survives.
Mr. Smith graduated in 1959 from Huntington High School, Huntington, Indiana. He worked in time study for G.E. for 15 years; owned The Sound Gallery in Auburn, Indiana, Canyon State Distributing in Phoenix, Arizona, and Needlemart in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He was a DJ for 14 years for WIFF Radio in Auburn, Indiana.
He was a member of the Moose, Elks and Eagles lodges in Auburn, Indiana, a member of the Prescott Vette Sette, and the Prescott Organ Transplant Support Group.
Survivors include a son, Steven Alan (Dawn) Smith of Auburn; a daughter, Paige Renee (Jeff) Davidson of Illinois; two sisters, Janet (Ed) Glick of Greensboro, Georgia, and Janel (Steve) Davidson of Huntington; and seven grandchildren, Candace Smith, Audra Smith, Bridget Stine, Tristan (Eryn) Leonhard, Taylor Leonhard, Tierney Leonhard and Lake Blocher.
He will be missed by his wife, family and many friends.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W Gurley St., Prescott, Arizona.
