Fay Matsumoto is the second Prescott inductee. She recently retired from Yavapai College, but held almost every position in the Physical Education Department. Fay is not only a great player (recently coming in third in doubles in the national women’s 65 hard courts and fourth in singles), but a selfless volunteer who has done more over her 30-plus years in the Prescott area than just about anyone I can think of.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The first PATA Tennis Festival of Fame was held Sunday, Oct. 25, at the new Yavapai College Tennis Center.

In a previous column, Howard wrote it was "a day of celebration and honor for what has taken place at the site and the people in the game of tennis (far and wide) who have done so much for it."

The day included a specialized tennis clinic on six courts with a multitude of tennis professionals, exhibitions, awards presentations and inductions.

In lieu of his usual column, Chris Howard supplied these photos and captions from the event.
