Matt York/The AP<br> Arizona Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock slides safely into third with a triple as Chicago Cubs' Kris Bryant makes the late tag during the first inning of a baseball game, Friday, May 22, in Phoenix.

PHOENIX - Paul Goldschmidt tied it with a two-out, two-run homer in the 10th inning and Nick Ahmed singled home the winning run in the 13th to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 5-4 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Friday night.

Tuffy Gosewisch doubled off Zac Rosscup (1-1) with one out in the 13th, then Ahmed - who earlier hit his second career home run - lined one sharply into the left-field corner to give the Diamondbacks their fifth straight victory.

Randall Delgado (2-2), the last of all eight relievers used by Arizona, escaped a bases-loaded jam in the 13th for the victory.

Kris Bryant and Starlin Castro each singled in a run to put the Cubs up 4-2 in the 10th.

Chicago closer Hector Rondon retired the first two he faced in the bottom of the inning. But A.J. Pollock lashed a two-strike double to left, then Goldschmidt hit a 2-2 pitch into the left field seats for his 10th home run to tie it. It was Rondon's third blown save in 12 tries.

Goldschmidt was 3 for 5, including his 11th home run, with three RBIs and two stolen bases. He also made a leaping stab at first to rob Junior Lake of an extra-base hit. Pollock had four hits and was a home run shy of the cycle.

Ahmed, who entered the game batting .194, hit Jon Lester's 1-0 pitch over the bullpen down the left field line to tie it at 2 in the fifth. Ahmed's first home run of the season extended his career-long hitting streak to seven games.

The Cubs had taken a 2-1 lead when Addison Russell's two-out infield single in the fourth brought home Jorge Soler, who had doubled to deep right-center to open the inning.

Pollock tripled in the first and scored when Goldschmidt singled to give Arizona the lead. The Cubs on Fowler's line shot into the right field seats, fifth homer of the season.

The Diamondbacks loaded the bases with one out in the 12th but Travis Wood struck out Yasmany Tomas and pinch-hitter Jordan Pacheco to escape the jam.

In the 13th, Chicago had runners at first and second and one out, but ex-Diamondback Miguel Montero flew out to deep left field. Delgado walked Mike Baxter to load the bases, but Russell grounded out to first to end the inning.

Jon Lester went seven innings, allowing two runs on six hits. His no decision ended a streak of four straight wins for the left-hander.
