Bring your pooch to Woof Down Lunch and enjoy a day of food, music, vendors, and activities on the Courthouse Plaza from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6.

This is the seventh year that United Animal Friends' (UAF) is hosting the fun-filled fundraiser that pet lovers do not want to miss. The Gurley Girls will perform their blend of fem-folk pop-rock music throughout the day. Attendees can take a chance at winning one of the numerous baskets loaded with donated gifts and services offered up for raffle. Free children's activities will be held all day.

Exhibitions are scheduled to entertain and educate dog owners during the event. Police Dog demonstrations will be presented by the Prescott and Prescott Valley K-9 Units at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Visitors to the Ask-a-Vet booth can get answers to medical questions from Prescott Animal Hospital. Dandy Dawgs will present dog training sessions at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Pet owners can watch dog agility demos by Fun 4K9z and then have their dogs try an agility course. Kachina Animal Hospital will be doing free "flip the lip" dental exams at their booth.

Dogs can compete to win a trophy in "Best in Show Contest" which starts at noon. This year's categories are Best Wiggle Butt, Best Costume, Best Dancer, Best Singer, Best Kisser, Best Ears, Best Trick, Happiest Dog, Best Owner Look-alike and Most Interesting Mix of Breeds.

Everyone who has adopted dogs from UAF is invited to gather for a group photo on the courthouse steps at 11a.m. This offers everyone a chance to share stories of their wonderful pets with other adopters.

Introductions to adoptable UAF dogs will take place all day at UAF's adoption area. Attendees can also view photos of UAF cats and kittens available for adoption at the Kitty City booth. Raffle tickets for a Las Vegas getaway will be available at the booth.

A $20 ticket includes a BBQ lunch from Crossroads Café and choice of a handcrafted pet bowl or 10 raffle tickets for chances to win fabulous prizes. Pet food suppliers will be on hand to provide free food samples and treats. Tickets are available in advance online at UnitedAnimalFriends.org and at Whiskers Barkery, 225 W. Gurley St., in Prescott.

Tickets will also be sold at the event. For more information, call 928-778-2924.
