Gluten-free support group offers food options

The Prescott Valley Public Library invites the public to a free presentation about gluten-free lifestyle from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, in the third floor Crystal Room.

Do you have a family history of celiac disease? Do you have recurring problems with abdominal pain, bloating, joint pain, fatigue, brain fog? Do you experience food intolerances? Have you been diagnosed with autoimmune disease, arthritis or diabetes?

The Prescott Area Celiac and Gluten-Free Support Group will explain how to adjust your lifestyle to incorporate a gluten-free diet to stay healthy.

Eating gluten-free is not a fad diet. Studies have found that perhaps one out of every 100 people have celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivities. For every person diagnosed with celiac disease, about 80 people have the condition but remain undiagnosed.

This free presentation will help you understand your symptoms and may provide an answer you have been waiting for. Learn about the many gluten-free food options and sample gluten-free food to discover the delicious possibilities.
