Home Instead Senior Care fetes 15 years with May 15 open house

Susan D. Abbott, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Yavapai and Coconino counties, is celebrating 15 years of service to area seniors and their families. The local company was founded in May 2000, as part of a franchise network that has become the largest of its kind in the world.

Members of the community are invited to help Abbott and her staff celebrate the milestone during an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the Home Instead Senior Care office, 240 S. Montezuma St., Suite 206, Prescott.

Home Instead Senior Care helps seniors who want to remain in their homes as they age by providing home helper, personal and Alzheimer's/dementia care. The company's CAREGivers, who are trained, bonded and insured, provide a number of services including assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, bathing, grooming and transportation for errands or appointments.

Abbott said the majority of seniors polled in recent industry surveys - typically 90 percent - say they want to remain in their homes as they age. Home Instead Senior Care® provides services to seniors wherever they might call home.
