Women's Council of Realtors gives portion of show proceeds to AWEE
On Tuesday, May 5, the Women's Council of Realtors (WCR) held its annual fashion show.
Vilma Graller, 2015 Chair, writes that the WCR is network of realtors empowering women to exercise their potential as entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
"We are a non-profit organization," she wrote. "Some of the benefits that the WCR offers are... Educational Classes, Leadership Training and a Scholarship fund to assist Realtor Members with their designations."
Graller wrote that each WCR chapter nationwide must raise money for its local chapter by doing fundraisers and that the Fashion Show is the Prescott Chapter's biggest and most popular fundraiser. The money raised assists WCR in utilizing the proceeds to benefit the local Realtor members.
Graller also wrote that the WCR is not a charitable organization.
"However, we give to charity," she wrote. "This year 10 percent of our Fashion Show proceeds will go to Arizona Women's Education & Employment, Incorporated."
