"Art & Heritage of the Cowboy Artists" runs through Aug. 16, featuring the history, artwork and paintings by the Cowboy Artists. "Happy Birthday, George! 100 Years of Inspiration" runs through July 19, featuring artwork of George Phippen and will explore Phippen's creative process.
Prescott Valley Art Guild, 3386 N. Windsong Dr. www.prescottvalleyartguild.org. Guild members exhibit artwork in a general exhibit gallery and the current featured artists are Shari Hancock and Janet Payne.
Prescott Valley Public Arts Display, first and second floor of the Prescott Valley Public Library, 7401 East Civic Circle, 928-759-3040. Offering local artists an opportunity to display artwork for a 60-day period, the current featured artist is Jody Miller, with western lifestyle photography. The display will run until July 1.
Smoki Museum, 147 N. Arizona Ave., 928-445-1230, www.smokimuseum.org. "An Essential Relationship" exhibits professional and amateur archaeologists' contributions to knowledge and understanding of the past. The exhibit runs through May 26.
That New Gallery, 3250 Gateway Blvd. #1008, 928-445-0788, www.thatnewgallery.com. "That New Gallery, an Artists Co-Operative" continues art demonstrations throughout the week. Currently 18 all-local artists are showing their work, but local artists are always welcome to apply.

In the mezzanine gallery "Synergy of II," nature-inspired and Asian-influenced fine art paintings and prints by Donna Carver, sculptural fused and slumped glass by Patty Lindsey, running until May 12.
