Does Your Mother Know that ABBA FAB, a tribute to the '70s and '80s Swedish group, is coming to Prescott? Tad Management's No. 1 selling act, the band will perform at The Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center Saturday, March 21, and features Anne and Nick Davies, Chelsea Faulds and Scotty Pearson.

Anne, who is the band's Agnetha, said that she would never have guessed that she would wind up in an ABBA tribute band, stating that she never thought she would be a singer.

"It was just a hobby of mine at the time, I didn't have a lot of confidence and I just kind of fell into it to be honest," she said. "Things kept coming in and I just kept taking them thinking one of these days the novelty would wear off and I would have to get a real job."

Anne said she and her husband had been doing a musical duo for many years and the genesis of the band came when she and Nick opened a music-driven restaurant in Peoria around the time the "Mamma Mia" was out. She said people kept requesting ABBA and the two of them figured they should put a show together. Originally, it was just for the restaurant, but after it closed, they took it on the road.

Anne said a lot of the songs have special meanings for her, noting her favorite song to perform is "I Have a Dream."

"I lost my mom and dad over the last couple of years, which was the most difficult time in my life and the song is all about angels and guardian angels," Anne said. "It was also one of my mom's favorite songs... when she was still alive. Now, when I sing that song on stage, I dedicate it to my angels."

Anne said the performance is full of good music that will transport the audience back to the 1970s and 1980s. She added that a lot of people come out in disco gear.

ABBA FAB will be at the Elks Theatre and Performing Arts Center, located at 117 E. Gurley St., Saturday, March 21, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $22 for seniors and are available anytime online at www.prescottelkstheater.com or by calling (928) 777-1370.
