PRESCOTT - A convenience store was robbed in the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 17, by a person who pulled a gun on the clerk, a Prescott police spokeswoman said.

The suspect came into the Woody's in the 500 block of White Spar Road at about 4:40 a.m. with the gun, and demanded money from the clerk, Lt. Amy Bonney said.

The suspect, who police believe may have been a woman, was dressed in a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, black or dark grey warm-up pants with a white stripe down the leg, black shoes, black gloves, and a black mask, Bonney said, and after taking the cash, ran from the store.

Police have surveillance video that shows the suspect and the crime, she said.

Bonney asked anyone with information to call Det. Jack Shapiro at 928-777-1983 or make an anonymous call to Yavapai Silent Witness at 1-800-932-3232 to be eligible for a cash reward.
