Prescott Chamber: See history being made

This Thursday, March 12, will mark the first time in history that two living Arizona women will be inducted into the Arizona Women's Hall of Fame.

These "Living Legacies" are historian Elisabeth Ruffner and former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor.

If you would like to be part of history that day, the Prescott Chamber of Commerce has arranged a bus trip to and from the Induction Ceremony at the Arizona Historical Society in Tempe.

The bus will leave the Prescott Wal-mart parking lot on Route 69 at noon. The ceremony starts at 3 p.m. and concludes no later than 5 p.m.

The bus will return immediately following the ceremony and should arrive in Prescott by 7 p.m. There are still seats available on the bus. Avoid driving the busy streets of Phoenix to get to the ceremony.

You may bring your own snacks; bottled water will be provided.

The cost of the bus trip is $30 per person. Reservations can be made by calling the Prescott Chamber at 445-2000.

Ask for Jacquie at extension #117. Credit card payments are accepted.
