Three fencers from the local club Salle d'Escrime of Prescott scored well at Tucson's Wildcat Epee Tournament in late February.

Joshua Bodine, who is now a police officer in Phoenix but continues to fence at the Prescott club, won the gold medal in the Open Epee event. Bodine has been a club member for more than 10 years.

Henry Villani won gold in the Junior division. Villani attends Prescott High School and is President of the school's Robotics Club, and is a Cadet 2nd Lieutenant of the AFJROTC.

Matt Brewer from Prescott Valley is completing his work for his degree at NAU, and has only recently joined our club. He won his National "E Rating" in the open epee event.

The fencing club meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Prescott Athletic and Tennis Club and is open to all from 8 years old and up. For more information, call Pat Waples at (928) 776-7150.
